Riffat Husain Specialty:  Residential Background:  I started my career in computers as hardware and configuration specialist in 1986. Personal Computer was a new thing back then. All computers were custom configured, and very expensive too. I helped my clients with their configurations. I also attended classes and receive training in servicing printers, monitors, laptops/notebooks, wrokstations and servers and I am an accredit certified technician on most Compaq, HP, IBM and Apple/MAC products. My last job as a high-tech professional was at HP as a Systems Engineer, supporting an R&D lab of approximately 150 personnel, including local and remote users and developers and administrative staff with approximately 12 file/application servers, 30+ test and build servers and 200+ desktop machines. OS ranging from MS Win95/98/NT/Me/2000Pro/XP to Linux to HPUX, and applications ranging from MS Office suites to version control softwares like Rational ClearCase and DDTS. Working in service and support industry, especially as challenging as computers, where your clients always call you in crisis and need support yesterday, has helped me with my communications skills. I am very blessed and honored when I state that most of my past clients, colleagues and bosses/managers/supervisers are still my friends and my reference.
